MIDLAND – Police charged a 27-year-old Midland man on Thursday after he sold an unsuspecting buyer an iPad that had been stolen just six days earlier.
Midland police received a report about the initial theft on Feb. 14. The victim named a suspect.
On Feb. 19, the purchaser of a secondhand iPad contacted police with concerns that it was stolen merchandise. The identity of the seller matched that of the suspect.
Police located and arrested the man the following day. He is scheduled to appear in court April 17 on charges of theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.
