iPad stolen out of car parked at Athens church

A thief shattered the window of a car parked at Cornerstone Church on Lexington Road and stole an iPad Mini valued at $600, Athens-Clarke County police said.

The owner used the GPS function of another device to track the computer tablet to an address on Deertrigger Landing, where officers found it in the possession of a man who said he found it while bicycling on College Station Road, according to police.

The investigation continued on Friday.
